Privacy Policy

Ask Bob · Last updated 3 July 2026

Ask Bob is a travel companion that gives you trustworthy local picks and downloadable city guides. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles, why, and who processes it. We keep it short because Ask Bob collects little: no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no selling of your data — ever.

Who we are

Ask Bob is operated by Woodburn Grupo ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact us at info@askbob.guide.

What we collect and why

An anonymous account IDTo remember the guides you own and your entitlementsCreated automatically — no email or name required. Optionally, you can upgrade to Sign in with Apple.
Purchase historyTo unlock guides and Premium features you've boughtHandled through Apple and RevenueCat; we store a ledger of your credits/guides keyed to your anonymous ID.
A photo you choose to identifyTo answer a single "what is this?" requestThe image is sent to our backend to generate that one answer. We don't build a profile from it.

We do not collect contact info, health, financial details, browsing/search history, or usage analytics. There is no advertising identifier and no App Tracking Transparency prompt because we don't track you.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of trusted providers strictly to run the app:

Keeping your guides across devices

Guides you own are stored on our server tied to your account so they survive reinstalling the app. If you're a guest, upgrading to Sign in with Apple is what guarantees they follow you to a new device.

Your choices & deleting your data

Children

Ask Bob is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
