Ask Bob: Tableside · we're happy to help

The QR code didn't give me a menu.
Some venues point their code at a page the app can't read, or at nothing at all. Photograph the paper menu instead — several pages if you need to, including a handwritten specials board — and you get the same result.
Why are the recommendations generic?
Because the app doesn't know you yet. Log a few meals with a thumbs up or down and it gets noticeably sharper — and if you use Ask Bob, importing your taste profile from it gives the app a head start on day one.
Can it tell me whether a dish is safe for my allergy?
No, and it never will — a menu line isn't evidence of what's in the pan. What it does instead is write your question out in the venue's language so you can ask the waiter, who can actually answer it.
There's no signal in here.
The last menu you captured and the order you built stay on your phone and open with no connection at all.
I subscribe to Ask Bob — what do I get here?
A month of Tableside on us. You claim it when you want it, and the month starts from your claim rather than running out quietly in the background. It works the same way in the other direction if you started with Tableside.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
The usual place: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancel any time and you keep it until the period you've paid for ends. The two apps are billed separately, so canceling one doesn't touch the other.
How do I delete my data?
Delete your account from within the app to wipe your server-side and locally stored data, or email us to request it.
